Borussia Dortmund announces preliminary results for the financial year 2011/2012

By the anew winning of the German Championship, the winning of the German
Cup competition (DFB-Pokal) and the participation in the group stage of the
UEFA Champions League as well as given to increased transfer revenues
Borussia Dortmund recorded in the financial year 2011/2012 the highest
revenues and the highest result in clubs 103 year old history.

Revenues increased in the group statement from EUR 151.5 Mio. in the
previous year to EUR 215.2 Mio and in the individual statement from EUR
136.4 Mio. in the previous year to EUR 191,2 Mio.

Earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted EUR 39.3 Mio. (previous year EUR 12.0
Mio.) in the individual statement and EUR 36.6 Mio. (previous year EUR 9.5
Mio.) in the group statement.

In the preceding financial year (01.07.2011 - 30.06.2012) Borussia Dortmund
recorded an individual annual result of EUR 34.3 Mio. (previous year EUR
9.5 Mio.) and a Group annual result of EUR 27.5 Mio. (previous year EUR 5.4
Mio.). The deviation of the annual results between the individual and the
according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) determined
group financial statement mainly resulted - as in the previous years before
- from increased depreciations concerning the stadium and from adjustments
concerning deferred taxes which however did not have an impact on
liquidity.

The liabilites in the individual financial statement decreased from EUR
56.1 Mio. by EUR 15.5 Mio. to EUR 40.6 Mio. Earnings before interest,
taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted EUR 48.2 Mio.
(previous year EUR 23.0 Mio.) in the individual financial statement and EUR
60.0 Mio. (previous year EUR 32.4 Mio.) in the group financial statement.

The revenues in the individual financial statement in a total amount EUR
191.2 Mio. (previous year 136.4) spread as follows: EUR 31.4 Mio. (previous
year EUR 27.7 Mio.) Ticketing; EUR 60.4 Mio. (previous year EUR 32.1 Mio.)
TV-Rights; EUR 57.8 Mio. (previous year EUR 49.9 Mio.) Sponsoring; EUR 26.1
Mio. (previous year EUR 13.0 Mio.) Transfer; EUR 15.5 Mio (previous year
EUR 13.7 Mio.) Sales / Conference / Catering.

Total operating performance of the company increased from EUR 140.5 Mio.
(previous year) by EUR 58.4 Mio. to EUR 198.9 Mio. in the individual
financial statement. Other operating income of Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co.
KGaA increased from EUR 4.1 Mio. by EUR 3.6 Mio. to EUR 7.7 Mio.

Personnel expenses of the company in the individual financial statement
increased from EUR 57.4 Mio. by EUR 17.1 Mio. to EUR 74.5 Mio. in the
preceding financial year. Depreciations in the individual financial
statement increased as well from EUR 10.6 Mio. by EUR 0.3 Mio. to EUR 10.9
Mio. Compared to the previous year other operating expenses rose from EUR
60.1 Mio. by EUR 16.0 Mio. to EUR 76.1 Mio.

The financial result in the individual financial statement improved from
EUR -0.4 Mio. by EUR 2.4 Mio. to EUR 2.0 Mio.
