The Evonik Industries AG ('Evonik') will preliminary prolong its engagement
as main and shirt sponsor of Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA ('Borussia
Dortmund') until June 30th, 2013. This is the result of both parties
agreement.

Dr. Klaus Engel, chairman of the Evonik board: Borussia Dortmund is one of
the most
popular and famous clubs with the largest stadium in Germany. With 77.260
spectators in average per game Borussia Dortmund has the highest attendance
in the league and one of the highest in Europe. The sponsoring of Evonik
was one crucial factor to promote nationwide the name of our new industry
group in a sympathetic manner. At the end of last year every second
decision maker in finance and economy was familiar with Evonik as sponsor
of Borussia Dortmund, 18 months earlier its was only every third.

Hans-Joachim Watzke, chairman of the Borussia Dortmund management: 'We are
pleased to have one of the most creative sponsors in the League on our
side. We are sure that both parties will use their best endeavours to
vitalize this partnership with joy, power and heart blood further on'.
