FC Bayern München AG ('Bayern München') today has submitted a binding and irrevocable offer to Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA ('Borussia Dortmund') for a transfer of the player 'Mario Götze' ('player') from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern München with effect from July 1st, 2013 in an amount of EUR 37.0 Mio. as compensation for preliminary termination of the existing employment contract by and between the player and Borussia Dortmund.
Simultaneously the player today requested from Borussia Dortmund to preliminary terminate the existing employment contract with effect from July 1st, 2013.
According to a contractual 'exit clause' with the player Borussia Dortmund is obliged to conclude a respective transfer agreement with Bayern München and a respective termination agreement with the player. Borussia Dortmund will therefore start negotiations with Bayern München and the player in due time.
